"I can't keep my tiles clean"
"I can't keep my tiles clean" is one of the most common complaints we hear. In reality, keeping tiles clean is very easy if you know how. Lack of knowledge about a surface (and how to care for it) is often the cause of this complaint, and a few adjustments to the customer's cleaning routine usually works wonders.

If proper cleaning methods aren't used, the tiles may be cleaner where they HAVEN'T been cleaned!
It’s very frustrating for a customer to realise that they have caused the problem with their stone or tile surface, due to a simple lack of knowledge. Wet mopping, heavy use of chemicals – or using the wrong chemicals – can damage a surface and make it impossible to keep clean.
Understanding how to clean the surface properly is actually very simple, but not widely-available. To ensure our customers didn’t cause a newly-restored surface to rapidly deteriorate, Slique developed a comprehensive set of standard maintenance plans – called Care Guidelines – for our customers.
Slique also regularly prepares customised maintenance plans for larger properties, commercial customers, and any particular installation that may require specialist support. This service is provided either as part of restoration work completed by Slique, or as a consultancy service.
Care Guidelines have always been available to our customers and industry partners, but this information has not always been accessible by the wider market.
Slique’s goal is to share this knowledge with everyone who has a stone or tile surface, so we have decided to include our Care Guidelines and a set of “Golden Rules” on our redesigned website - it’s coming soon, and we’ll let you know when it’s launched.
In the meantime, get in touch with your local branch if you’d like a set of Care Guidelines.
A range of maintenance products, including specialist mops, cloths and chemicals that have proven to be effective for first-line maintenance and daily cleaning are available through each of our branches, and can also be wholesaled to stone and tile retailers. Slique can also offer advice on machinery and tools suitable for second- and third-line maintenance.
