Case Study: "Oh, you've replaced some tiles"
It's always possible to spot a Slique consultant: they're the ones walking around with their eyes down, looking down at the floor. This strange quirk was a stroke of luck for the Property Manager of a tenanted blue-chip high-rise building in Auckland city, when one of our NZ consultants told him how the basalt should really look. |

The original floor, dull and lifeless Passing the building on his way to another quote, the Slique consultant noticed that the basalt was colourless, with dirt and track marks that were obvious even from outside the lobby. Knowing how much Slique could improve the basalt, he contacted the Property Manager and simply said “We can make it look better.” The basalt had been of some concern to the property management company, and they were immediately interested in the results Slique could deliver. However the Property Manager hadn’t dealt with Slique before, so to confirm the accuracy of our claims he invited us to complete a test area. The test area was completed over an afternoon, and the Property Manager couldn’t believe the improvement. |
And after Slique restoration He was so impressed that the next time he saw the building’s cleaners he showed them the restored area, to which they commented, “Oh, you’ve replaced some tiles!” Once the quote was sent for restoring the entire lobby, the work was scheduled to take place over two days to allow continued access to the building, with only one lift being locked off at a time. Once the restoration was complete and protective systems were in place, Slique met with the Property Manager and the Operational Manager of the building’s cleaning company, and ran a training session for the cleaning staff on how to look after the basalt on an ongoing basis. Slique has since been asked to quote on other types of stone installed in different areas of the same building. |
